Football Sign In
For this Sign In Idea several autograph footballs were purchased online (BadenSports gives local dealers who sell them). I made a football figure to look like he was kicking the football. I used the Bar Mitzvah boy's face and drew the body. I placed the figure and the football with the stand all on green astro turf to resemble a football field and attached 2 sharpie markers on long ribbons to the base of the figure and added a sign to remind the "Fans" to autograph the footballs.

Get your Sharpie permanent pens ready - your guests are going to create an instant heirloom. Sure you could have a sign-in book, but what's more fun? Your child's room isn't done in "baseball?" You could also do a bench!

A great idea because, if you get a lightweight one, you can mount it on your child's wall afterwards for those pickup games with crumpled homework papers.

We love the charming simplicity of these. The basketball could just as easily be an elegant monogram. Wonderfully understated yet still gets the point across.

And, depending on where you live, you may have a few cool places to do it. "Strike" has locations in Long Island, Miami, Bethesda (DC area) with two new openings in California. This is not your father's bowling alley. The lanes have a light show and movies playing up above them. Strike doesn't really cover it anyway, as they have go-karting too! Part of the same family is "Bowlmor Lanes" in NYC and "Pressure" lounge upstairs. A great group of venues for a hip, active party that appeals to adults and kids.

Doubles as a cheap but charming party favor. This Bar Mitzvah novelty favor was created out of a 1 oz. box of Cracker Jacks. Each guest name and table seating assignment was custom-printed on each box. As guest walked into the reception, they were treated with a jaw-dropping display of custom Cracker Box boxes. Not having to arrange calligraphy is just another prize with this box.
NOTE FROM GAIL: The vendor who creates these, Sweet Facades, has gone missing and their website has disappeared. I'm keeping this idea in here though for inspiration as you can easily print your own labels and stick them to Cracker Jack or candy boxes for a fun placecard!
