Hire an actor with a clever, outgoing personality. As a mystical dream interpreter, he/she could be dressed as a gypsy, Carl Jung or the Biblical Joseph. Whatever - equip the person with a dream interpretation book and let them improvise away.
What Do We Dream Of?
Instead of placecards, have as your placecard an envelope with your guest's name and table number and in the envelope one of the postcard sized placecards you can download at the link below. They ask your guests what they dream of doing and what they can do in the next two weeks to begin working toward that dream. Have them answer and place the card in their envelope. Collect the cards. Take them home and, two weeks later, put a mailing label with complete address over the name and table number info on the envelope and mail the cards to them.
