Decorating Crafts...

Poetry and Music Candle Centerpiece

Created for a bar mitzvah / bat mitzvah party theme in MitzvahChic but pure poetry for a wedding as well.

Directions

  1. Large candles are hard to find, but 7” high round or square are plentiful at craft stores. If necessary (or better price-wise), get the smaller ones and hot-glue them together.

  2. Trim the sheet music/poetry so there’s 1-2” of candle showing on the top and bottom and the paper goes all the way around and overlaps an inch or two. Wrap paper around candle. Smear decoupage glue on short edges where they overlap. Hold down or lay candle down on seam until glue adheres.

Get everything you need:

Square Candle Two block candles hot-glued together and wrapped with sheet music. Found locally at Michael’s Crafts; you could also use round candles.
