Soap Like You’ve Never Seen
Some preteens need help to build their zeal for regular bathing! This may just be it. To make this
soap exciting to boys, seal a laser pointer in a small ziploc bag instead of the lipgloss and body
glitter we’re showing and package in a manly burlap or suede bag. To make an interesting version
for adults, let your imagination run wild – sterling jewelry, or perhaps a key that may or may not
unlock a treasure at your house; make them come visit you in a month to find out.

Directions
- Place “prize” in mold just to see how deep it needs to sit in the mold to be covered on top when mold is filled.
- Melt soap according to package directions, add any desired fragrance, and pour just enough into mold to make the surface rise to where the bottom edge of prize should go. Let cool until soap starts to firm.
- Put the prize into the mold, pushing it slightly into the cooling soap. This will anchor it and keep it from floating up when you pour more soap in.
- Fill rest of mold with melted soap, tapping molds briefly to bring bubbles to surface (you’ll always have some bubbles, but they look nice). If you don’t fill completely to the top, you’ll have an easier time unmolding soap.
- When completely cool, unmold soap according to directions.
