Seashell Candles

Directions
- Set shell on a flat surface and look at it from the side to judge how “level” it is.
Roll 3-4 small balls of Sculpey and press them on the underside of the shell to serve as “feet”.
Bake shell with Sculpey attached. When cool, turn shell over, pull feet off and glue them back on
with caulk adhesive. Note: if you plan to put candles on table in a box of sand, you won’t need
to do this as you can level them in sand.
- Fill each shell with water to check for leaks. If you find any, fill them on shell inside
with caulk and let dry. Glue metal base of wick to lowest point inside shell.
- Melt wax in microwave according to directions; stir in color and fragrance if you wish.
Fill shell with wax. When cool, trim wick to just over ¼”. Burn one at home to make sure shells
will last as long as your party. If not, you need bigger shells.
